Henrik Vibskov Spring 2026 takes protection as both theme and provocation: what holds value, what do we choose to guard, and how do we shield the fragile? Inspired by a recent project in New York called The Bank Is Dead, Vibskov transforms the runway into a surreal farm of towering yellow structures tending to mysterious black eggs – fragile yet quietly formidable. They’re nurtured until the inevitable rupture, releasing transformation and growth.
Silhouettes borrow from the language of safekeeping – instrument cases, garment covers – while prints and embellishments channel protective symbolism, from the intangible power of music to the talismanic touch of amulets. Playful territorial “dog marks” wink at our instinct to defend what’s ours.
Beneath the whimsy, the collection hums with a conviction: that we can rebuild a lasting, respectful bond with the living world. Even the set honours that promise – upcycled from past shows, black eggs sculpted from remeltable isomalt, carpets destined for future reuse.
