MKDT Studio Spring 2026 slips into the space between memory and invention – the kind of near-real where Kay Sage’s still, surreal landscapes meet Jean Jacques Balzac’s AI-dreamt “wrong architecture.” Everything looks familiar… until it doesn’t.
Tailoring remains the house heartbeat – sharp blazers, sculptural trousers, fitted dresses – but this season they’ve been nudged off-axis. Belt buckles are fractionally too big, seams open just enough to reveal a shoulder, loose threads dangle like an afterthought (only very much on purpose). The Atelier line pushes further, weaving fabric bands into sleeves and folding them forward into skirts, while shredded ramie builds three-dimensional checks you’ll want to touch.
A palette of mineral pastels against black, ivory, and mink mirrors the mood: more melancholic than whimsical. Accessories arrive via kindred craftspeople – Dahlman1807 belts and CALLA created using leftover fabrics – proof that in MKDT’s world, perfection is overrated, but precision never is.
