The Ulla Johnson Resort 2026 lookbook presents a collection where three elements immediately stand out: prints, texture, and unexpected, eye-catching color combinations that instantly feel right.
The dominant motif for the season is floral. Oversized blooms make a strong visual statement on tops, skirts, and outerwear, while a smaller flower-and-leaf print makes a more delicate impression on a cropped jacket and trouser set. Trending abstract animal print appears, while a damask-print on a moss green dress adds vintage flair. Ulla Johnson tackles polka dot a way that feels entirely her own: Look 2 introduces a tonal, textured version created with applied fabric circles, delivering a minimal take on the classic dot. It’s a smart approach: trend-aware without being trend-dependent.
This tonal polka dot detail is the most minimal of the texture in a collection that otherwise revels in dimension. Layers of fringing cover dresses from top to bottom, while tufts of short fringe appear on trousers, giving them a spiky look from afar. Tassels and bunched fabric – resembling sculptural flower petals – are applied to the necklines of dresses and tops. Loop stitch adds tactile appeal to a knitted top and skirt set.
Johnson’s use of color feels boths fresh and instinctive – turquoise with burgundy, magenta-purple with peach, sangria with soft blue-green – these color combinations add vibrancy without clashing or feeling forced. Metallic fabric adds sheen to maxi dresses, while crochet and appliqué reinforce the collection’s tactile, artisan-made energy.
There’s a refined balance between structure and fluidity: the structured shape of a deep sangria trench coat and a sharply-tailored blazer offer a sculptural contrast to the flow felt throughout the rest of the collection. Micro pleats add movement to maxi skirts, and are also added – peplum hem-style – to a cropped trench-style jacket. Frills show up throughout, adding both movement and texture.
Accessories are another point of interest: interlaced leather panels and tassels add texture and show appreciation for craft, but it’s the shell-shaped clutch bags that truly stand out. With scalloped curves and a drawstring closure, they straddle the line between daywear and evening luxe.
Ulla Johnson Resort 2026 leans fully into what she does best: celebrating craft, form, and expressive femininity. It’s a collection that feels tactile, joyful, and thoroughly thought out – rooted in artistry but made to move.
