The Fashion Week Test: Carrying Everything, Effortlessly
Fashionable tote bags with compartments are quite hard to find, and for me running around during fashion week means lugging a laptop (and charger), a hefty DSLR camera body with a 24-70mm lens and its battery charger, plus all my daily essentials – phone, power bank, water bottle… I certainly don’t travel light. Normally I would just dump everything into a big tote bag then dig around forever trying to find what I needed.

That’s where the Troubadour Tote made my routine so much easier – its compartments keep everything organised:
- A central compartment for my laptop and camera.
- Two smaller inner pockets for easy access to essentials like lipstick, pens, and my phone.
- Two side pockets (magnetically sealed when not in use) perfect for a water bottle or reusable coffee cup – I only use one, so I keep the other neatly closed.
- A padded neoprene pocket for important papers (it would fit a smaller laptop, but mine is too big, it measures 17″ closed), and a smaller pocket just in front of it in case you have other papers to keep separate – it is the perfect size for a tablet if you need to carry one.
- A zip compartment, divided into two sections on the front of the bag, plus another pocket on the back for extra storage.

The only downside for me is that the shoulder strap isn’t included and has to be purchased separately. Thankfully though, the handles are just long enough for carrying the bag on my shoulder.

After fashion week, I’ve started using it daily for work and it’s made carrying my laptop and essentials (and staying organized) so much easier. The waterproof, recycled fabric is another huge plus – you stay stylish and sustainable. I also found it easy to accessorise the bag with charms or a twilly scarf.
