Copenhagen Fashion Week street style has long been a breeding ground for some of the most innovative and trendsetting looks, and this Spring 2025 season was no exception. Footwear took center stage as influencers, editors, and fashion-forward locals stepped out in a mix of bold, eclectic styles. From sneakers to boots, this season’s footwear made as much of a statement as the collections on the runway. So if you’ve been wondering where to buy Copenhagen Fashion Week footwear, this guide is for you: we’ve curated the standout pieces you need to know about with shopping links so you can easily buy trending Spring 2025 footwear now. Since everybody’s budget is different, there are affordable alternatives to designer footwear – designer dupes if you will – so you can shop these fashion week footwear trends that will see you through the next season and beyond.
Copenhagen Fashion Week street style footwear is dominated by comfy styles, with the below footwear shopping guide split into four main sections: Sneakers, Heels (kitten heels if we’re being totally honest here), Boots, and Flats. So which are the key street style footwear trends and where can you get them?
Sneakers
When you’re running around the city from show to show, comfort is the first thing on your mind, and having attended fashion weeks in London, Berlin, Paris and Copenhagen, I can safely say that I haven’t seen as many people wear sneakers as I have at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Three sneaker styles in particular caught my eye for Spring 2025: the Puma Speedcat, New Balance 1906R, and Adidas Box Hog.
First up is the Puma Speedcat which I kept seeing, mostly in red. Created in collaboration with Italian racecar component company Sparco (and colloquially called “Sparcos”), the shoe traces its origin to motorsports, and with Formula 1 now becoming ever more tied to fashion – and the Puma Speedcat being re-released in red and black back in June – the shoe looks set to take over from the Adidas Samba as the key coolgirl lifestyle sneaker.
Named for the year in which New Balance was founded, the New Balance 1906R is a shoe that blends both style and comfort while being extremely versatile – making it an extremely popular footwear choice at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
The Adidas Box Hog 4 is actually a boxing shoe not a lifestyle shoe, but I’ve seen it worn paired with skirts and dresses and it looks amazing! I first saw the black version Box Hog in the shops and wanted a pair (I’ve been resisting temptation for months on end) then at Berlin Fashion Week in July I saw someone wearing them with an all black casual outfit. I saw the same pairing again at Copenhagen Fashion Week, this time with the blue Box Hog. It’s quite unconventional but if you’re keen to make a footwear statement you should definitely try it.

Heels
I said above that Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring 2025 street style footwear was all about comfort, so where do heels fit in? Kitten heels and block heels were the heel of choice across mules, boots and slingbacks.
Mules are one of the key footwear trends right now, and I really liked this pair I spotted at the Deadwood Spring 2025 runway show decorated with bows. Tom Ford make a pair in velvet, or for a more affordable alternative try Larroudé’s pair with lower heels.

Knee high boots with a low block heel can be with shorts, skirts and dresses. These boots from Proenza Schouler have a spike heel and pointed toe while the pair from Staud have a block heel and almond toe.

Slingbacks are another fashion week footwear trend, especially kitten heels. Wear with socks or tights if you wish.

Boots
Copenhagen street style fashion included plenty of boots, from the iconic Vivienne Westwood pirate boots to masculine and sporty flat boots, and mid-calf pairs.
The Pirate Boots by Vivienne Westwood made their debut in the Fall 1981 “Pirate” collection and feature leather buckles around the shoe. They are available from the Vivienne Westwood official store in black and brown.

A more sporty and masculine style of boots contrasts with a feminine dress – try the Stella McCartney pair below or go the ever-reliable Dr. Martens.

Flats
Dressing for comfort of course includes flat shoes, and Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring 2025 street style footwear included all manner of flats, including ballerinas, flatforms, and buckle sandals.
These Mary Jane ballerinas have a buckled strap over the foot and are in the currently trending metallic silver tone. For a colour that’s sure to be trending well beyond Spring 2025, see these cute blue mary janes from Valentino or if you’d prefer a less elaborate style these Mansur Gavriel ballet flats are on sale and come in an endless variety of colours and fabrics.

For those of us who want some height but don’t want to run around in heels all day, flatforms are the obvious solution. Pair with bright socks to add some colour to an outfit.
