Baum und Pferdgarten Spring 2026 was a spirited tribute to the Derby – a deft blend of sporty function and high-society polish. Creative Directors Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave mined the visual drama of the racetrack: the sharp, colour-blocked uniforms of jockeys, the crisp tailoring of spectators, and the interplay between utility and pageantry.
Striped nylon and bold checks evoked the movement of racing silks, while dropped-waist dresses, softly draped blouses, and frilled details added a romantic counterpoint. Powder pink and leopard print rubbed shoulders with faux leather and vintage lace, underscoring the collection’s play on contrast. Horse rosette embellishments nodded to equestrian tradition.
Presented at Charlottenlund Travbane – the Nordics’ oldest racetrack – the show unfolded between historic stables, complete with a horse and sulky parading the runway. Friends of the house and new faces walked in purpose-driven silhouettes softened by feminine flourishes. The result was a confident, character-rich collection that celebrated dressing as performance – whether in the saddle or from the grandstand.
