One of the best cities for street style is London (rivalled only by Berlin), and one of the better shows for street style has to be that by Charles Jeffrey Loverboy. The guests included Tilda Swinton, Nia Archives, and Jack Wolfe, with plenty of colour, Loverboy-beanies, and animal claw loafers. This year there were two anniversaries: 40 years of London Fashion Week and 10 years of Charles Jeffrey Loverboy. For its 40th anniversary, London Fashion Week revived the menswear schedule. I still have some photos and videos hanging out on my phone from exploring the designer exhibitions back when I attended London Mens Fashion Week, taking my time browsing pieces from brands like Stefan Cooke and Charles Jeffrey Loverboy as they hung on rails in the hall.
Back to today, and the 10 year anniversary of Charles Jeffrey Loverboy: the brand held its show at Somerset House, formerly the home of London Fashion Week, and the home of the brand’s studio since 2016. Alongside this 10 year anniversary show is the launch of an exhibition, ‘The Lore of LOVERBOY’, running at Somerset House too.

No doubt by now you’ve seen the trending beanies by Charles Jeffrey Loverboy (I have a blue and white spotted one with long rabbit ears myself) – they come with all different kinds of ears and in every colour you can imagine. Needless to say, plenty of the guests at the SS2025 runway show were sporting beanies too. If you haven’t caught up on these beanies yet, they are super warm and guaranteed to make any outfit more fun – you can find some here (and they’re on sale right now since it’s summer).

There were plenty of attendees wearing the bold and bright colours that Charles Jeffrey Loverboy is known for – there are also trending mini kilts and handkerchief hem skirts.

Balancing out the bright colours were guests who kept it more toned down in terms of colour but not necessarily in terms of style – just look at Tilda Swinton’s outfit (especially those shoes!) and Solange Smith’s dress.
