UNDERCOVER Spring 2026 by Jun Takahashi is inspired by the stuffed animal works of French artist Anne-Valérie Dupond – these patchworked figures with asymmetrical limbs, visible stitching, and mismatched textiles come through in the distorted patterns, exposed lining, mismatched buttons and hand-stitching of the collection: “Clothes that feel as if they were made by someone with no experience in making garments” according to the press release. Of course, this being UNDERCOVER, the chaos all makes sense and comes together perfectly in clothes that are coherent despite the madness beneath. The finale piece is created by Dupond herself, with organs, bones and flowers being rendered in 3D on a dress and shoes.
