Talia Byre Fall 2025 from Talia Lipkin-Connor was presented at London Fashion Week, showing a wardrobe intended to represent opposites: serious but never stiff, irreverent but never unserious. Pieces sit low on the hips, hems skim the floor with deliberate ease. Precision-cut tailoring carries a masculine edge, yet the collection never leans into rigidity. Instead, it finds movement and ease in slouching knitwear and satins with a tough edge.

A check dress, drawn from the archives of Lucinda Byre (Lipkin-Connor’s great uncle’s 1960s-80s boutique in Liverpool) re-emerges alongside bold stripes and layered prints. The 1980s aesthetic runs deep, from the oversized silhouettes to the shoes: white kitten-heel mules with an almond toe, a retro punctuation mark to the looks.

There’s an equestrian sensibility at play, but not in the expected way. Byre’s vision is less about polished riding gear and more about the feeling of a windswept car ride after the fact, the quiet disarray after a long day. Tweeds appear distressed, socks slouch down, cuffs extend past the hands, and patchworked mini skirts feature visible stitching – imperfections that feel intentional, as if the clothes have already lived a life.

Despite the nostalgia, the palette avoids predictability, leaning into unexpected shades of lilac, yellow, and blue. Masculinity and femininity weave together seamlessly, underscoring Byre’s ability to craft a collection that feels at once familiar and entirely new.
