Presenting at Shanghai Fashion Week, SHUSHU/TONG Fall 2025 has the theme of “Mutual Reference.” Drawing inspiration from Diane Arbus’s photograph Identical Twins, the collection explores duality, individuality, and the evolving resonance between two mirrored identities.
The collection is grounded in a palette of earthy browns and greens, with olive symbolizing rationality and restraint, and dark green reflecting passion and unease. Textural contrasts feature prominently, along with felting fabrics, variegated yarns, dark green jacquard, and cross-stitch detailing that evoke nostalgia and craftsmanship. The runway itself, decorated with old wallpaper motifs, further reinforces the collection’s narrative of memory and identity.
Silhouettes reimagine workwear through a feminine lens, with tailored suiting elements, cropped trousers, and touches of velvet illustrating the tension between rebellion and compromise. SHUSHU/TONG’s signature floral patterns appear in richer forms, while the brand’s accessories collaboration with YVMIN continues this season, adding colorful hairbands and hairpins to the story of self-discovery.
