While Fall 2025 was bold and brash, HUMMEL 00 Spring 2026 is soft and restrained. A muted palette runs throughout this collection with two main inspirations: human anatomy and the Danish concept of Hygge.
The brand collaborates with the Danish textile house Kvadrat, producing double faced mesh that is light but still has a sense of weight, and heavier fabrics that recall home fabrics like curtains and rugs.
Human anatomy comes through in the taping and piping applied to technical jackets and pants – these details echo muscle fibres and joints. Similarly, shirts and cut-sewn pieces come with panelling to reflect the musculoskeletal frame of the body.
The classic Hummel motifs – the bumblebee and the chevron – are kept very understated this season, appearing as subtle embroidery. Also subtle is the tonal layering of shorts over trousers.
Overall it’s a good direction, and a great representation of the sports x fashion crossover done well.
