Holzweiler travels to Krรธttรธya, a remote Norwegian island, for its Spring 2025 collection, Memories, presented in a lookbook shot amongst the wooden houses, turquoise waters, and rich greenery of the island that was once a military base – a fortress remains, though the island is more well known for fishing and diving.
Founded in 2012 by siblings Susanne and Andreas Holzweiler who later enlisted Maria Skappel-Holzweiler as Creative Director, the brand is based in Norway, with this being a sort of homecoming – the island itself was the inspiration for the collection so what better place to shoot the lookbook?
The concept of Memories is the exploration of the past while embracing the energy of the present. There is tradition in the collection’s argyle knits, crochet dresses and knitted jumpers, all of which nod to heritage craftsmanship. These are effortlessly layered with contemporary touches – sporty zip-ups and t-shirts, casual shorts. Each piece feels like a carefully chosen memento, capturing different facets of one’s identity – whether through cozy cardigans that evoke childhood winters, grungy layers that recall rebellious youth, or refined intarsia knits that speak to a timeless elegance.
With Memories, Holzweiler offers a wardrobe that invites us to explore the many selves weโve been, are, and aspire to become – each piece a fragment of who we were, are, or might yet be.
