CFCL Fall 2025 marks the brand’s 10th season, and for this collection – VOL.10 – CFCL returned to Paris Fashion Week with a thoughtful, quietly futuristic runway show that once again put knitwear front and center. Presented at IRCAM, the city’s iconic centre for acoustics and music research, the show was scored by sound artist Miyu Hosoi, who transformed the sounds of garment production into a rhythmic, industrial soundscape.
This season’s starting point is Tim Ingold’s book Lines: A Brief History, a text that examines how human culture is inscribed and interpreted through lines. CFCL picks up that thread – literally and metaphorically – and uses it to trace the development of its own design language. These are garments conceived through loops, curves, and conic volumes, rendered in bold colors and complex silhouettes that feel sculptural without ever losing their functionality.
From accordion pleats and exaggerated herringbone to dramatic flares and tube-like silhouettes knit from yarn that includes 100% recycled polyester, the collection explores the potential of line as both structure and symbol. Curved lines take inspiration from the industrial design of the 1980s, while a metallic tube dress and top explore seamless knitwear. Metallics also appear on handbags, with a tinsel-like feel.
If the past ten seasons were about establishing CFCL’s quiet authority in future-facing knitwear, VOL.10 is a confident loop back to origin: CFCL continues to make knitwear feel not just new, but necessary.
