Birrot Spring 2026 leans into the intimacy of clothing as a second skin – garments not just worn, but felt. Emotional Layers expands the label’s quiet lexicon, with the brand’s proprietary Lay stretch crêpe taking centre stage. This season, it’s pushed to new territory: the 3.1 Lay skirt merges the structure of three bonded layers with the fluidity of a single draped hem, a study in control and release.
Silhouettes toggle between overblown and shrunken, inviting playful manipulation via hidden buttons, snaps, and fastenings. Soft cashmeres, gauzy organzas, and recycled poly-cottons brush against skin, in a palette of brick red, moody indigo, sandy beige, and sudden baby blue.
Staged on Copenhagen’s Paper Island, against raw concrete and soundtracked by Korean artist Bek Hyunjin, the collection embodies Birrot’s signature dualities: structure and fluidity, Korean and Danish sensibilities, and the designers’ own layered dialogue made tangible in cloth.
