Rolf Ekroth Spring 2026 is a study in survival, transformation, and conscious iteration. Titled 189 DAYS LATER — ENCORE, the collection reimagines past ideas through a lens of renewal – where cut-out polka dots, rescue vests, and hand-stitched detail evolve into urgent new forms. Ekroth, collaborating with Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto (LSJH), transforms discarded denim and vintage Finnish fabrics into garments that wear their reuse with pride – like the opening look’s clouded indigo trousers or the multi-textured utility coats and shorts seen throughout the collection.
In close creative partnership with stylist Emma Saarnio, silhouettes are softened and repurposed: from hooded streetwear in Japanese nylon to modular, belted outerwear padded like a deconstructed duvet. Longtime collaborator Matilda Diletta’s tulip prints bloom across dresses, bodysuits, and even matching bags, worn confidently in shades of romantic green and urgent red. Polka dots repeat obsessively – burned, stitched, or painted – underscoring the idea of breath and reinvention.
The botanical undercurrent carries into sculptural jewellery co-designed with Ildar Wafin, where twisted silver roots echo the natural world’s resilience. Encore doesn’t dwell in nostalgia; it deconstructs it, stitches it back together, and walks it boldly down a forest-floor runway – each look a testament to Ekroth’s most refined and resourceful vision yet.
