66°North Spring 2026 sees the brand anticipate its centenary with “100 Years of Progress. Still Made for Life” during Copenhagen Fashion Week – an immersive installation that reflects a century of design innovation, purposeful craftsmanship, and extreme weather resilience. With its centenary approaching in 2026, the brand used the occasion to offer a rare behind-the-scenes look into its factories, repair workshops, and design ethos.
The experience invites visitors into a working atelier space – a “room within a room” – where cutting tables, deconstructed garments, and raw materials reveal the process behind 66°North’s signature pieces. The Iceland-based repair also made an appearance, underscoring the brand’s enduring commitment to longevity, care, and sustainability, a philosophy embedded since its founding in 1926 by Hans Kristjansson in Suðureyri, Iceland.
The installation also spotlights 66°North’s Spring 2026 collection, highlighting technical innovations like the Hornstrandir Shell Jacket, the Snæfell Power Shield™ Pro shell, and the Helgafell Windbreaker – each tested in Iceland’s most demanding environments. Combining high-performance fabrics from partners like GORE-TEX® and Polartec® with thoughtful construction and timeless style, these pieces reaffirm the brand’s place at the intersection of utility and durability.
As CEO Helgi Óskarsson notes, this milestone is not only a celebration of the past, but a reaffirmation of purpose: to design for life – and for the lives that depend on it.
