Next stop after Copenhagen was Berlin Fashion Week Fall 2025 which began on the 31st January – barely any time to spare really. I caught a morning flight that day as I had to be at the first show at 12:15 to set up. I will start with an outfit of the day – unfortunately I didn’t get to keep track of my outfits very much, but I did get a compliment from a stranger for this outfit so it seems fitting that it’s the only one I made a point of taking a photo of (or at least, I asked my sister to take a photo of it).

You can’t see everything in my outfit so I’ll just comment on what’s showing – I’m wearing a quilted coat by Vivienne Westwood, a hooded jacket that I bought in Berlin, an Alexander McQueen scarf, an Apex Everyday Tote by Troubadour (kindly gifted), which I hung a bunch of charms off, Dr. Martens, and my cane is also by Alexander McQueen.

Berlin Fashion Week Fall 2025 Day 1

Having landed in Berlin around 9:30am, I made it to the venue for the day’s show’s a little bit after 1pm. The first show of the day was Kilian Kerner Fall 2025 which featured some beautiful dresses constructed out of pink flower petals.
Danny Reinke Fall 2025 opened with some Edward Scissorhands-themed outfits – long fingernails included to give the effect of the scissors – and then Marcel Ostertag presented a show with a 1970s glam feel to it – lots of frills, cuts and slashes – along with lace and fur.
That was the end of the day for me in terms of shows so I headed home to continue working.

Berlin Fashion Week Fall 2025 Day 2

I was invited to SVEASØN Fall 2025 which took place in an art gallery. Rather than a runway show, the collection was presented with dancers who first swayed, trancelike, in a glass case near the ceiling illuminated only with a purple light. They continued to alternate between swaying and walking in circles as the venue filled with people who sat on benches set in a ring around a central area where large silver statues, humanlike but with twisted faces and long, extended arms, arose from the floor that was strewn with black confetti. I was unsure if they were an installation at the art gallery that just happened to be in the room or if they were part of the presentation.
Once everybody had found their seats, the dancers were suddenly still and then they slowly descended the staircase until they stood amongst the silver statues. They began dancing to a drum-heavy song, until eventually they removed parts of their clothes and used them to dress the statues.
The presentation was a really unique experience and I was left wondering how much effort and forethought it must have taken to create the items that could be worn by the models and then repurposed as clothing for the statues too.

Berlin Fashion Week Fall 2025 Day 3

On the third day of Berlin Fashion Week Fall 2025 I attended Melisa Minca Fall 2025 which took place at Embassade on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. I got there early to set up as I was shooting photos for the brand. There were also some stalls to the side of the runway selling handmade jewellery, ceramics, and other goods.
It was lovely to meet Melisa, and I love what she does – her clothes are very well made and I always support upcycling and sustainable fashion. I wish I was handy with a sewing machine so I could do the same, but unfortunately I’m better at breaking machines than using them. After ruining my mum’s last two, I’m officially banned from her newest one.

Berlin Fashion Week Fall 2025 Day 4
By the final day I was absolutely exhausted, but luckily the two shows that I was to attend were at the same venue. First, PALMWINE IceCREAM at noon, then Maximilian Gedra at 5pm, both at Halle am Berghain on Rüdersdorfer Straße. I’ll admit that I left it a bit to last minute to leave for the venue so I popped the destination into Google Maps, put my camera equipment into my wheeled case, and hurried out the door. Somewhere on my walk to the station I must have messed something up on Google Maps and changed the destination: with my cane in my left hand and my phone precariously held in my right along with the wheeled camera case it’s something that happens quite often, I just didn’t notice this time. I only actually noticed I was going to the wrong place when I got out of the station at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz wondering why I was so far away from where I needed to be. It was too late to get back on public transport so I got in a taxi instead.
Once I finally got to the venue, I set up my camera and got ready for the show to begin. I really loved the shoes that the models wore for PALMWINE IceCream, and there were some interesting bags too, so I tried to get as many detail shots as I could. Once the show was over I got some street style photos outside.

After the show I walked to a vegan ramen place about 20 minutes away to meet my sister for lunch, then I popped into some shops to try and buy a scarf or something that would keep me warm as I was feeling pretty cold and I didn’t have time to go back home and change. I found a hoodie and trousers to wear over my leggings and felt much warmer.
I headed back to Halle am Berghain for the Maximilian Gedra show and found a spot on the media riser. I really enjoyed the show – the clothes were a very extreme take on workwear, and the final look – showing in the cover image above – was made of countless buttons.

Other stops…
Before Berlin I went to Copenhagen Fashion Week, and I will soon be headed to London Fashion Week – I’ll write about that soon.
