Presented at Milan Menswear Fashion Week, the MTL Studio Fall 2025 Menswear collection weaves together nostalgia and modernity in a unique exploration of small-town life and everyday clothing of the past. This season, the brand channels the charm of rural settings and evokes the feeling of home through a mix of textures, silhouettes, and a narrative steeped in spontaneity.
Chunky knits with a distinctly homemade, grandpacore vibe offer warmth and comfort with a handcrafted aesthetic. These pieces are layered in deliberately awkward combinations, enhancing the sense of everyday imperfection. Tailored trousers paired with a kangaroo pocket sweatshirt exemplify the collection’s bold blend of leisurewear and business wear, creating a look that’s both unconventional and approachable.
The collection also draws heavily on military influences, with chin guards, army green tones, and bulky flap pockets lending a utilitarian edge. Silhouettes play with proportions, creating a sense of playful unease: tailored shorts that are just slightly too long and oversized peak-lapel blazers with exaggerated shoulders and sleeves.
Traditional fabrics like wool add an element of rustic charm, grounding the collection in the nostalgia of small-town life. The designs tell a story of a past life filled with simple pleasures – playing cards, billiards, and foosball – all while embracing the comforting imperfections of clothing made to be lived in.
The MTL Studio Fall 2025 Menswear collection is a heartfelt homage to the beauty of the everyday, combining a retro-inspired sensibility with a modern perspective that feels fresh and exciting.
