If you were asking the question: Are big shoulders on trend for Spring 2025? then Han Kjøbenhavn Spring 2025 answered your question with a resounding “Yes!” in this collection shown at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Statement shoulders of all kinds appeared on the runway, in a collection dominated by icy colours. From elongated, slightly slouched silhouettes adorned with military-style epaulettes to sharply padded shoulders that reached almost peak-like proportions, the collection was a study in angular silhouettes.
Padded flared trousers reminded me of the viral iteration sent down the runway at Rick Owens Menswear Fall 2024 (made by London-based designer Straytukay and which in turn immediately made me think of London-based designer Harri, but where does the inspiration trail end?). Having followed the brand for some time now, though this isn’t the most avant-garde collection it is certainly their most relevant: on-trend and with just the right amount of accessible pieces to draw in a new customer base.
