Genevieve Devine Spring 2025 menswear was presented as part of LFW40, the 40th anniversary celebration of London Fashion Week. For her collection titled Lignes de désir (Desire Paths), Genevieve Devine takes inspiration from the term coined by French scientist, philosopher and poet Gaston Bachelard in his 1958 work La Poétique de l’Espace: a desire path is an unplanned route or path such as that worn into a grassy surface used in preference of a paved footpath. Like the paths created without plan or purpose, the collection features whimsical garments that flow, drape, and fall. There is a medieval yet romantic air to the corsets and aprons; more structured shapes and forms contrast with delicate broderie anglaise and mesh.
An up-and-coming slow fashion label focused on producing one-off pieces, Genevieve Devine was launched in 2022 by the designer of the same name following her graduation from Central Saint Martins MA Fashion in 2021.
