The Y2K layering trend is still going strong, but for 2025, it’s been given a modern twist – just look at all the layers that showed up in the Spring 2026 Copenhagen Fashion Week street style. Sheer dresses and shirts were layered over tops and trousers, scarfs knotted over skirts and trousers, and sweater vests worn over shirts and t-shirts. Many attendees play with color, texture, and print to create eye-catching outfits, and some take a political stance by layering a keffiyeh over their shoulders or tying one or two over their trousers.
