The HARUNOBUMURATA Fall 2025 collection builds upon the brand’s ongoing study of sculptural form, shifting from Spring 2025’s focus on the stillness of Brâncuși to the momentum and modernity embodied by early 20th-century racing driver Dorothy Levitt. Named Trajectory, the collection explores the tension between movement and refinement – the delicate choreography of mastering machinery – and translates it into a wardrobe that fuses industrial detail with flowing silhouettes. Asymmetry and draping are used not just for effect but also for expression: garments are shaped by pull, weight, and gesture: sculptural buckles and knots gather fabric into dynamic, body-responsive forms.
The tailoring feels precise yet softened – slightly oversized, relaxed, and meant to move. Gradient tones evoke motion blur, while texture plays a key role in amplifying contrast: cotton boa and dense wool are set against the slick sheen of laminated fabric and crisp pleats. Functional elements – buttons, buckles, closures – become focal points, anchoring the garments in intention. HARUNOBUMURATA continues to refine a definition of elegance that is less about perfection and more about control – not rigid, but responsive, and deeply rooted in the lived experience of the wearer.
