I guess pink is a pretty divisive colour, and I certainly avoided it for a long time. Recently though I’ve come to love it in all shades, but in this post I’ve focused more on pastel pink and avoided fuchsia. I did put together some fuchsia looks a while ago though, if that’s more your thing.
There was a lot of pink in the AW2023 menswear shows and and I’ve tried to include some menswear in the shopping ideas below, although I did struggle to find some in pastel pink. Of course it’s not necessary to go full on pink – just one accessory or item of clothing will do, although I did see somebody at London Fashion Week in February pull off an amazing head-to-toe pink look, including an ankle-length puffer coat.
I’d love to recreate something like that in pastel pink, perhaps with the Rick Owens boots, Christopher Kane dress, Ottolinger sunglasses, and Alexander McQueen bag that I’ve linked to below. Maybe add the Balmain biker jacket? If you’d like to channel 1970s Cher, there’s the shimmery trousers by Rotate, or you could add some sparkle with metallic pink boots from Le Silla, a laminated leather bag by Givenchy, or a metallic tote bag from Self-Portrait – it even has a big sparkly bow.
