Marimekko Spring 2026 transformed Copenhagen’s industrial harbor into a vibrant stage for its joyful exploration of pattern and proportion. Set against a raw, urban backdrop, Creative Director Rebekka Bay’s collection celebrates the art of printmaking – blending heritage motifs with playful reinventions. Iconic florals meet bold stripes in dynamic dialogues of scale, from micro minis to sweeping maxis, with airy layers grounded by hints of utility. The palette bursts with summer energy: peony pinks, hydrangea blues, zesty lemon, and spirulina green, accented by pistachio and peach. Each look is punctuated by brightly contrasting adidas Tokyo sneakers, underscoring the season’s spirited mood. Central to the collection is a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the Jokapoika shirt, reimagined in cropped cuts, oversized proportions, and multicolor interpretations. This is Marimekko at its most performative and poetic – where the collision of color, craft, and confidence turns every step into a living print.
